An honest path — including where it stops
Four steps that are real today, and a fifth we cannot take yet: no lender is empanelled with Ojas Loans, so no file can be submitted to one. Everything before that point works, costs nothing, and is worth having whoever you eventually borrow from.
- Free, and no bureau pull
- No lender panel yet
- Every rate here is illustrative
- Ojas is never the lender
The credit journey, step by step
No instant-approval theatre and no hidden fees — four steps that happen, and one we name because it does not.
- 1
Check what fits, free
A short enquiry about your venture and what you need — free, and never a credit-score pull.
- 2
Talk to your consultant
A named consultant calls within one working day, understands the business, and owns your file from here on.
- 3
Narrow the shelf to what actually fits
Your consultant matches your situation to a family of credit on the shelf and says plainly why the others do not fit — including when the honest answer is not yet.
- 4
You get the file list, not a runaround
The document checklist for your entity type, an illustrative sizing band, and the questions any credit committee will ask. Worth having whoever you end up borrowing from.
- 5
And then it stops, for now
No lender is empanelled with Ojas Loans, so there is nobody for us to submit your file to. We say so rather than take an application we cannot carry. When a lender is on the panel, this is the step that opens.
Which credit fits where you actually are
A flat shelf shows a two-week-old business a loan it cannot qualify for. This one is organised by what the money is for, and every product states what it expects — so you can rule things out yourself, in about five minutes.
Every product states what it expects
Each product carries typed criteria — eligible stages, months in operation, monthly revenue, entity and venture type — and its page puts them in plain English next to the document checklist for your entity type. Being exact about the seam: a matching engine evaluates those criteria server-side, but the display that would grey a product out and tell you what opens it is not wired on this site, so nothing here locks or unlocks. A product appearing is never an offer of credit; it means it is worth a conversation.
Browse the shelf- Just starting out → government schemes and micro credit, built for thin files
- Operating with steady orders → working capital, equipment and receivables finance
- Scaling across units and markets → term, franchise and project finance
- The criteria are printed on the product page — nothing is hidden behind a form
What actually changes for you
We have no customers to quote, so there is nothing to quote them on. Here is the mechanism behind each claim instead — including the row where the mechanism is nothing.
The drag
LiveYou do not know which of ten kinds of business credit you should even be asking for.
Ojas does this
A shelf organised by what the money is for, with plain-English eligibility and a document checklist per entity type on every product.
You gain
You walk into any lender asking for the right thing, with the right papers.
The drag
LiveEvery eligibility checker on the internet is a lead form wearing a calculator.
Ojas does this
Ours computes in your browser from four answers and a published rule list. No account, no bureau pull, and nothing sent anywhere.
You gain
An honest read on where you stand that costs you no data at all.
The drag
Not builtOnce you know what to ask for, you still have to find a lender yourself and get the file in front of them.
Ojas does this
Nothing — this is the part we have not built. There is no lender panel, so no shortlist across lenders and no submission to one.
You gain
Nothing yet. It is the reason this page has a step called “and then it stops”.
Honest scope — computed credit scoring, automatic in-app offers and any form of submission to a lender are not built. A named consultant reads your situation by hand, using the operating history you already keep on Ojas where there is any. A lender would still underwrite and decide — when there is one.
A marketplace you can see the incentives of
We publish how we intend to get paid, because a marketplace whose incentives you cannot see is not one you should trust — and publishing it before any money has moved is the cheapest time to be held to it. Two ways, neither of them a charge for you to apply: a lender-paid sourcing fee after a loan that lender sanctioned is disbursed, and a quoted advisory fee for heavy work you separately choose. No sourcing fee has ever been paid to us, because no loan has been sourced through us.
Read how we get paid- ₹0 to check, to browse, or to enquire — always
- A lender sourcing fee would be paid only after a sanctioned loan disburses
- Any advisory fee is quoted and agreed up front, in writing
Questions, answered honestly
Do you approve my loan?
No. Ojas Loans is a Lending Service Provider, not a lender — we never approve, sanction, or disburse credit. The regulated lender (a bank or NBFC) underwrites your file and makes the decision, and loan money moves directly between you and that lender.
Is it really free?
Yes, and there is not much to charge for yet. Browsing the shelf, using the tools and sending an enquiry cost nothing and involve no credit-bureau pull. Only if you separately ask for heavier advisory work — a project report, a government-scheme application — is there a fee, quoted and agreed in writing before any work begins.
So can you actually get me a loan?
Not today. No bank, NBFC, small finance bank or microfinance institution is empanelled with Ojas Loans, so there is nobody for us to submit a file to. What we can do is tell you which of the ten families of business credit fits your situation, what a lender will ask you to produce, and roughly what that family costs in the market — and then get out of your way while you take it to a lender yourself.
What are the eligibility criteria on each product?
Each product carries typed criteria — eligible stages, a business-vintage floor, a monthly-revenue floor, entity and venture type — and its product page states them in plain English along with the document checklist for your entity type. A matching engine evaluates them server-side, but the borrower-facing display that would grey out a product and tell you what opens it is not wired yet, so today a consultant reads them with you.
Do you pull my credit score?
No. Checking eligibility on Ojas Loans is not a credit-bureau pull. Only the regulated lender pulls your score, and only when you formally apply to them — so browsing the shelf and checking eligibility never touches your bureau record.
Work out what to ask for
A short enquiry, a reference id straight away, and a named consultant on the phone within one working day — who tells you which family of credit fits and what to assemble. Free, no bureau pull, and no application parked in a queue we cannot move.
